As an athlete growing up, I acquired my fair share of injuries: broken bones, torn plantar fascia and a bicep tendon rupture among others. The joy of youth, faster healing and a general disregard for my body's attempts to slow things down kept me going.
It wasn't until I was in my mid-20s that the pain and cumulative abuse caught up with my body. My boyfriend and I were involved in a motorcycle accident that caused extensive damage to the C1 and C2 vertebrae in my neck, misalignment of my spine and issues with my right leg. In the blink of an eye, I went from an active dancer and athlete to seeing stars if I tried to look up. Pain and discomfort became a constant. It was rather depressing to imagine that this would now be my daily existence.
Luckily, I found a chiropractor who actually listened and strongly recommended the use of alternative pain therapies. As I began my journey of learning about CBD, I also reconnected with a former work colleague. Amy was passionate and well educated about the benefits of CBD. I fell in love with Mad Ritual and found relief from the pain and inflammation that had taken over my body.
It might sound cliche, but Mad Ritual gave me a new lease on life and I wanted to share the wonders of CBD with the world. I've had the pleasure of meeting so many people over the past few years and discussing the wide range of applications for topical CBD. In 2024, I'm excited to expand the general public's understanding of CBD. It can do more than just reduce pain and discomfort by addressing inflammation. Taking care of ourselves at every stage can improve our enjoyment in life, reduce stress and tension, and help to maintain mobility and independence into old age.
Being sore sucks. Live better with Mad Ritual.
